The Cedar Key Arts Center is proud to partner with the Florida Hemingway Society conference.
Call to Artists!
To enhance the experience, Cedar Key Arts Center will host an open show from May 13-30, 2027. This show is open to all artists and mediums. Submissions must include reference to the Hemingway work – book, poem, painting, or place that inspired the submission.
Entry Deadline: Works should be delivered to Arts Center Gallery on May 9 & 10, between 10-5 pm.
Closing Date: Exhibit runs thru May 30. Please pick up your work on Mon, May 31 by 1 pm.
Entry Fee: $10 per entry. Max of 3 pieces per artist. Checks should be made payable to CKAC.
Complimentary entry for the High School division.
- Entries must be original works created within the past 5 years.
- Please do not enter artwork that has previously been part of a CKAC Gallery Exhibit.
- All mediums accepted.
- Wall artwork must be ready to hang.
- Unprofessional presentations will not be accepted.
- Accepted work should remain on exhibit until May 30, 5 pm, unless purchased by visitors leaving Cedar Key.
- Any work sold in connection with the exhibit or because of the exhibit is to be handled through the Cedar Keyhole (75% to artists, 25% to Cedar Key Arts Center). Checks will be distributed around June 15, 2027.
Prizes: $100, $50 and $25 will be awarded based on adherence to the theme and quality of the work.
