Patty Jett Summer Art Program

July 20 - July 31

July 20 – July 31, 2026

Registration forms are available at the Cedar Keyhole or by email cedarkeyartscenter@gmail.com

The Patty Jett Summer Art Program was established by the Cedar Key Arts Center to introduce kids to art. The program provides a 2-week art experience for elementary and teen students. Participants will explore various art mediums. The projects are selected to introduce a variety of art forms and to accommodate all skill levels. Instruction is provided by local artisans and community volunteers and classes are held upstairs at the Arts Center.

The Elementary Program runs from 9 am to 11 am with 20 students. The Teen Program starts at 1 pm and ends between 3 to 4 pm, depending on the project, and usually accommodates 10 to 15 teens. The final day of the program is the student showcase. Projects from all the classes are displayed in the Arts Center Gallery for students, parents, and the community to enjoy.

The program was renamed in 2024 in honor of Patty Jett, who was known for her advocacy for children. She encouraged students to excel and assisted those who had difficulties with projects by modifying them to facilitate success. Patty Jett passed away shortly after the 2024 Summer Art Program, but her contributions will be remembered and live on.
